Many of you may have heard Basketball England moved to Level 2 in their Return to Play Roadmap with effect from Monday 3 August 2020. This means that we are allowed to return to indoor training and ‘behind-closed-door’ competition.
We are really pleased to be able to confirm that we have booked Ball Hall for 3 consecutive evenings a week for 2 weeks from 17 August. You should shortly receive your first training notification on TeamApp.
Due to restrictions in place at the venue, training sessions will be limited to a maximum of 12 people (coaches & players) per court per session. Training sessions will be posted on TeamApp and you will be asked to confirm players ability to attend the session. Coaches will then select the players to attend the training session from the responses received and confirm this selection through the app. It is important that you respond to the training sessions on TeamApp ASAP such that the coaches can confirm players to attend in a timely manner. It is important to note that no player will be permitted to attend training if their attendance has not been confirmed by the coaches.
We continue to work with other venues, but we are aware that many of our school venues are not planning on re-opening until September at the earliest, with some indicating that it will be even later.
We’ve pulled together some Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) to hopefully answer any questions you may have, you can access these through the documents section of TeamApp. Please feel free to email us at
covid@cheshirewire.co.uk if any of your questions have not been satisfactorily answered, and we will update our FAQs accordingly.
What do we need you to do right now?
COVID-19 Risk Information and Consent questions have been added to the player’s profile in TeamApp. We need you to answer these questions as a matter of priority. Attendance at training will not be permitted until the Risk Information and Consent questions have been answered.
